Mets Minor League Report – June 3

Las Vegas (30-26) blanks Fresno (29-30) 8-0.
Carlos Torres pitched a complete game shutout: 3 H, 0 BB, 11 K. What a turnaround for Torres. After a miserable start to his season, in his last 5 games (32.2 IP) he has a 1.93 ERA.
Eric Campbell: 3-4, HR, BB, 3 RBI, 3 R. Campbell is hitting .315
Francisco Pena: 2-4, 2B, 3 RBI. It seems that Las Vegas agrees with Pena.
Wilmer Flores: 2-5, 2 R.

Binghamton (33-24) not scheduled.

Lakeland (22-34) shaves St Lucie (30-25) 2-1.
Noah Syndergaard (L, 2-3) went 5.0 innings, allowed 2 R on 6 H, 0 BB, with 5 K.
Chase Bradford pitched 2 perfect innings, 2 K, and Randy Fontanez pitched 2 scoreless innings, 1 H, 5 K.
Travis Taijeron 3-4, had another solo HR, his 4th in 3 games. Taijeron’s average is up to .313.

Savannah (34-22) not scheduled.

DSL Mets1 (2-0)  edges DSL Rojos (0-2) 5-4.
Starter Jose Mendez pitched well: 0 R on 3 H, and 1 BB, with 5 K. (no decision)
Claudio Merilan (BS, 1) (W, 1-0) blew the save, but got the win, even though he gave up 4 runs on 2 hits (one of them a HR) and a BB.
Audry German (S, 1) got a 2 inning save: 0 R, 1 H, 1 BB,
Johanny Sierra: 2-3, 2B, 2 RBI.

DSL Marlins (1-1)  blanks DSL Mets2 (1-1) 4-0.
Randi Montero (L, 0-1) allowed 2 R on 3 H, and 2 BB, with 1 K. (Not sure if he is a relative of Rafael)
The Mets were thoroughly outclassed by 2 Marlins pitchers:
Yeims Mendoza: (W, 1-0) 5.0 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 0 BB, 6 K. and
Yeison Del Rosario: (S, 1) 4.0 IP, 0 R, 2 H, 2 BB, 10 K. Watch out for these kids.
