Hickory 9 - Savannah 5

The Crawdads scored five runs in the eighth inning to come back and take the finale against the Gnats at L.P. Frans Stadium on Tuesday, 9-5.
The Sand Gnats (12-19) scored three runs in the second inning on five consecutive singles from the six through one hitters. Patrick Biondi picked up two RBIs in the second.
With Hickory trailing 3-0, the 'Dads (22-9) used a solo shot from catcher Kevin Torres in the second and two-run homer by 2B Travis Demeritte to tie the game at three runs apiece.
Gnats regained the lead in the fourth, when Tomas Nido singled and later scored on a sac-fly fromLuis Guillorme. Nido went 2-for-3 at the plate and scored two runs on Tuesday.
With the Gnats up 4-3, the Crawdads scored a run in the fifth to tie the game. The tie didn't last long as the Gnats scored Jon Leroux in the sixth.
Hickory never led on Tuesday until the eighth inning. Down by one run, the 'Dads plated four runs on reliever Jimmy Duff. Hickory scored a total of five runs in the eight to take the finale, 9-5.
Duff (0-1) takes his first loss of the season and allows a run for the time since April 17th vs. Charleston. Team press release
