The New York Mets announced today that they signed minor league infielder Danny Hoy to a minor league contract.
Hoy played four years for Princeton University and was undrafted in 2016, even though he produced a slash line of .322/.383/.474/857 last year in 171 at-bats.
He'll play 2017 as a 23-year old and my guess is his first stop won't be far from his home... Brooklyn.
His walk on song would be "O Danny Hoy, the stripes, the stripes are calling"
