The Astros beat the Mets last night 3-2 (Box) (Video Highlights).

Last night’s lineup: 1. Brandon Nimmo CF; 2. Pete Alonso 1B; 3. Michael Conforto (DH); 4. Wilson Ramos C; 5. Amed Rosario SS; 6. Eduardo Nunez 2B; 7. Jarrett Parker LF; 8. Ryan Cordell RF; Luis Guillorme 3B.

Brandon Nimmo and Luis Guillorme had the other two hits.
Michael Wacha pitched 2.2 innings giving up a run on 5 hits with two Ks.  His Spring ERA is now 1.17.

SNY.TV: "I don't really put too much on the results in spring training," Wacha said. "You like to pitch well, but most importantly, hopefully you're making pitches where you want them to go... and getting that relationship going with Ramos was huge tonight. Just looking forward to building off that and keep moving forward."

Thursday’s star, Johneshwy Fargas pinch ran for Brandon Nimmo and stole 2nd and 3rd base in the 5th but did not score.  He now has 5 stolen bases this spring and is hitting .333.

Ryder Ryan got the final out in the third inning to prevent further damage with a run in and 2 men on.

Pedro Payano pitched next and was charged with one run on a hit and two walks in 2/3 of an inning.

Ryley Gilliam relieved Payano with the bases loaded and walked in a run before getting the final out in the 4th. Ryley looked good in the 5th working a 1-2-3 inning against Houston regulars Michael Brantley, Yuli Gurriel and Carlos Correa.

Kevin Smith two scoreless innings, 1 hit, 2 Ks to lower his spring ERA to 7.71.

Adonis Uceta one hit 2 Ks in a scoreless inning.

Yefry Ramírez allowed a game winning home run to the only hitter he saw in the 9th.

SNY.TV had more takeaways including:  The Mets will be back in Port St. Lucie for a Saturday afternoon matchup with the Washington Nationals. Steven Matz is scheduled to take the ball for the Mets against Nats righty Austin Voth. First pitch is set for 1:10pm.
