Morning. Padres continue to make moves as Steve Cohen says that’s why the Mets
need a good Farm System. Robinson Cano has another good game

Hey , Give the Padres credit. They had a top 5 farm system that gave them flexibility to trade for Snell. Newsflash, the Mets farm system needs to be replenished .

San Diego is a new baseball powerhouse. Boy, were they overdue. Good for them?
ReplyDeleteNow, will the Mets get bolder? They need to.
I was thinking that there would be a big free agent signing before the end of the year for tax reasons, looks like that won't happen. That means that we won't probably see anything until mid-late January with the 2nd tier free agents signing before Spring Training - which get pushed back.
ReplyDeleteHow are taxes a factor?
ReplyDeleteBill - I was thinking if a player signs now with a bonus, they could take less next year and hence pay less taxes should they go up next year. David Cone did that when he signed with the Royals. Hasn't made a difference the last few years as the big signings have come in January.
