Bisons Activate INF Argenis Reyes
Oliver Perez’s Rehab Assignment to End with Start in New York Tonight
The Buffalo Bisons, Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets, today announced that INF Argenis Reyes has been added to the team’s active roster. Reyes was optioned from New York last night to make room for LHP Oliver Perez. Perez is scheduled to start for New York against the Dodgers tonight (7:10 p.m.), which would end his rehab assignment with the Bisons.Reyes joined the Mets on June 24 and had one hit in 13 at-bats (.077) in seven games with New York. With the Bisons this year, Reyes has hit .296 (45-152) with a home run and 13RBI in 45 games. The infielder also sports a .395 on-base percentage (22 walks, 19 strikeouts) and is a perfect 9-9 stealing bases.
