Boy, I hate it when I have to be the person to tag someone a prospect, but it seems like it's time to recognize someone that has turned a few eyebrows in the right direction.
It's hard to say that someone that has started only three games at brooklyn is a prospect, but hell, we used that word on Wilmer Flores before he even signed a contract.
Brandon Moore was a 14th round draft pick in 2008, out of Indiana Westleyan. He signed with the Mets and was first assigned to Kingsport, where he went 2-0, 0.90, in six appearances, only two as a starter.
He was promoted to Brooklyn and was used exclusively in the bullpen eight times, where he went 3-1, 9.00. That's big difference in ERA, so, by the end of the eason, no one was quite sure what world come back to camp in 2009.
Well, no one is wondering anymore.
First of all, he's back to starting.
And secondly, most of the bullpen can take the night off.
So far, Moore has pitched three games, 22.0 total innings, one complete game, given up only two earned runs, struck out 16, and waked one. His ERA is 0.82, and his WHIP is 0.64.
The Mets prospect pitching right now is four deep... Jon Niese, followed, in order, with Brad Holt, Jennry Mejia, and Jeurys Familia. We;ll give it a couple more games, but I'll be adding Moore into the fifth slot, and maybe even place him ahead of Familiar because of his advanced age.
Don't forget this name. He's a keeper.

Nice! But a couple of corrections, Brandon started out in Brooklyn and then went to Kingsport to get more playing time.
