2011 DRAFT: - Alex Dickerson, Francisco Linder, Brian Johnson, Kyle Winkler... and Nolan Fontana

Alex Dickerson:



7-4 from: - link  - Indiana’s Alex Dickerson may have the best raw power of any player on the Trials Roster and brought that raw power to the plate in-game this Spring, launching 24 homeruns and 19 doubles as the Hoosiers’s #3 hitter. Dickerson’s offensive game isn’t limited to slugging, as he shows a solid eye at the plate and an ability to square consistently and hit for average, due in part to his ability to try and match his swing to the plane of the pitch. Most of his power is geared to right field, as he tends to load his hands a little too far from his body, limiting pop the other way but allowing him to punish anything on the inner-half. He’s raw in the field and struggles a fair amount out in left.



Francisco Linder:

All-Stars 9-0 Wednesday afternoon at Jack Kaiser Stadium in Queens, N.Y. Francisco Lindor added two RBIs Lindor smacked a two-RBI double to tack on two more runs for Team USA in the eighth.








Brian Johnson:


July 7, 2010 - link=  - CNT Trials: Red-Blue game ends in tie. Brian Johnson (Florida) tossed three perfect innings with five strikeouts in the start for the Red squad.





 




Kyle Winkler:


7-6 from: - link=  - USA Baseball kicked off its Collegiate National Team (CNT) trials Tuesday afternoon at the National Training Center (NTC), which will run through July 11. - Kyle Winkler (Texas Christian) toed the rubber for two frames surrendering one run two hits with four strikeouts

Winkler picked up the win after tossing three perfect innings with three punch outs, while Boer fanned three over two innings of hitless work.


Nolan Fontana:


7-9 from: - link  - Blue jumped out to an early 2-0 lead and never looked back as they defeated the Red squad 6-1 Thursday night in Game 3 of the Collegiate National Team (CNT) Trials at the National Training Complex (NTC). Nolan Fontana (Florida) finally put the Red on the board with a RBI single in the fifth to cut Blue’s lead to three, 4-1.
