Mets:
Adam
Rubin - Ruben Tejada (quadriceps) should attempt
modest running drills in Port St. Lucie, Fla., today, while Ronny Cedeño (calf) has started to run the infield. Justin Turner (ankle/foot) took swings in a modified
game but did not run.
OF Kirk Nieuwenhuis on 1B Ike
Davis..."I think Ike is coming out of his slump. We are going to
see something special from him soon!"
AAA – Buffalo:
Grazing…
AA-Binghamton:
7-inning doubleheader
day…
Game one: 3B Jefry Marte (.303)
singled in SS Josh Rodriguez (.293) in the
first… SP Mark Cohoon gave up a sac-fly to tie
it up in the 7th… RP Adrian Rosario (2.80)
came in and gave up two more runs… 2B Reese Havens: 0-3, .162.
Game Two: Collin McHugh on
the bump… he threw a great game, but four Reading pitchers had a better one…
A+ - St. Lucie: -
Pack Bringley
- http://www.amazinavenue.com/2012/6/13/3082109/mets-daily-farm-system-report-6-13-den-dekker-debuts-flores-at-the - Corey Vaughn is 1 for his last 13
and 6 for his last 35. His .263 average in April shrunk to .217 in May and has
withered to .171 in young June. As bad as that all sounds, his power and
patience have won him an above-average 111 wOBA+ and a wretched BABIP promises
to improve somewhat, right? Cory is twenty three years old and if these contact
struggles have to occur, you'd like it to be a rung or two up the ladder at
this point. –
Just when every writer
in Metsville writes that Wilmer Flores (.304) is
now a second baseman, he’s back on third tonight. Luis
Nieve (.125) on second.
OF Cory Vaughn not in
the lineup… and the bats seems to be quieting down a bit… everything went to
hell in the 7th, when Hamilton Bennett (3.34) gave up three runs.
A – Savannah:
Another doubleheader…
Game one was the same
hitters hitting… 1B Brian Harrison (.292) had
three hits and CF Travis Taijerson (.291)
tripled in two in the last inning. Gnats threw up a 7-inning piggy, starting
with Marcos Camerena (1.49) and ending with Randy Fontanez (4.00). This was a 9-inning game
because it was a suspended game and needed to be finished as a 9-inning affair…
CL Jeffrey Walters (1.05) struck out the side in
the 9th. That’s 29-Ks in 25.2-IP with 4-BB.
DSL Mets:
SP Ruben Reyes – 2.2-IP, 0-H, 0-R, 4-K, 3-BB, 0.00
LF Vincente Lupo – 3-5, 2-R, HR, 6-RBI, .382
2B Leon Canelon – 4-4, 2-R, .300
SP Juan Marte – 4.1-IP, 2-H, 0-ER, 0-K, 4-BB, 1.08
Piggy-P Ramon Rodriguez – 2-0, 3.2-IP, 0-H, 0-R, 0-K, 2-BB,
0.93
