The Clones won a barn-burner, 9-8, at the home field of Tri-Cities.
At one point Brooklyn led 9-8-2, but pitchers Colin McHugh (4.35) and Lance Hoge (4.05) let the enemy back in. Matias Carillio put the fire out with 2.1 scoreless innings and Michael Powers continued his 0.00 ERA by closing it out for his 3rd save. That's now 6.i innings of scoreless ball from Powers.
11 hits for the Clones, including the first home run of Nick Giarraputo's professional career. The other Luis Rivera also homered, raising his BA to .417.
Brooklyn is now 14-2, with a winnings streak of eight games.
