The Cyclones unraveled the Spinners on Tuesday night, winning by a score of 7-2. The win improves Brooklyn to 13-2 at home this season, and 21-11 overall -- 3.5 games ahead of Staten Island Yankees for first place in the McNamara Division.

The Cyclones' league-leading offense continued its success, registering seven runs on 13 hits, and swiping a franchise-record seven stolen bases. RF Cory Vaughn went 3-for-5 with two doubles, stole a base, added two more RBI to his league-leading total of 29, and delivered a crushing blow on a play at the plate that jarred the ball loose and scored a run.



CF Darrell Ceciliani put together a 2-for-4 night while stealing two bases to bring his league leading totals to .387 and 13, respectively. 2B J.B. Brown extended his hitting streak to 12 games in a 2-for-4 effort, including one run. LF Cody Holliday went 3-for-5 with one RBI, one run, and two stolen bases of his own, while SS Rylan Sandoval rounded out the offense going 2-for-3 with an RBI and two more stolen bases. DH Joe Bonfe also checked in with one hit and two walks.



LHP Chris Hilliard (5-0) earned his fifth win of the season, pitching 6.0 scoreless innings before finally giving up a run in the seventh. Overall, Hilliard went 6.1 innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on seven hits with two strikeouts. RHP Wes Wrenn came on in the seventh inning to close out the game with 2.0 hitless frames. Wrenn earned his first save of the season.
