The Mets have two picks coming up with a lot of talent still on the board starting day two:
Chris Beck- This was a guy who was a consensus top-10 pick before a lackluster spring. His ceiling is still a workhorse #3 and should be able to sign for under slot.
Tanner Rahier- Sweet-swinging high school shortstop a lot of people thought the Yankees would take in round 1.
Wyatt Mathisen- This is a catcher I really wanted the Mets to draft. I wonder if they'll double up on catchers early in this draft.
Dylan Baker- RHP- Western Nevada
Adam Brett Walker- Big time power.
Trey Williams- 3B- High School. Another guy who was a top-10 pick before slipping precipitously. Probably going to college but he is definitely worth a look.
Nick Williams- Probably going to JuCo but he's another raw high schooler with great power and potential but all of the skills are quite rough at this point. Would be a project but has as much upside as any hitter in the draft.
Duane Underwood- This is the guy I really want. High-90s fastball, good curve, nice kid. I cannot believe he is still on the board. I really want this guy.
Clate Schmidt- Another good-fastball high schooler. Worth a look as well.
Also worth looks: Rhett Whiseman, Rio Ruiz, Tom Murphy, Mitchell Traver, Martin Agosta

There goes Underwood. Sigh.
...and there goes Wyatt Mathisen. Well the 5 picks before we select have not gone well for the guys I wanted.
