The Mets sit at 18-13 after Wednesday’s 7-1 win over Matt Harvey and the Orioles.
Not least at all.

Seven game win streak!
Despite being last in the majors in runs scored.
Not sure, but possibly still last in batting average with RISP.
So, why are the Queensians in first place?
In large part in first place because of being last in runs allowed, and barely 2nd from the top in team ERA at 2.89.
I guess that makes them 29th worst. Why?
Jake deGrom has been pitching better than normal Jake standards (all-universe, rather than merely all-galaxy.)
Taijuan Walker has an ERA barely above 2.00 - a killer acquisition.
Marcus Stroman? So many fans did not want him back, but he exudes positive energy and a slightly above 2.00 ERA. Some fans just like to be negative. Any team that has Stroman is LUCKY.
Bullpen? One big, happy Familia.
Best pen in all of baseball of late.
Consider these three things as the team tries to go from good to (dare I say it) great:
1) The pitching may regress a bit, but how far could it regress with Thor, Lugo, and Cookie just a handful of weeks away? Is a sub-3.00 team ERA for the season possible? Possibly.
2) Nimmo and Davis, two truly hot hitters when they got hurt, will return most likely for the Rays series.
3) The hitting has been coming out of hibernation (except for McCann, who needs to forget his big, new paycheck and just play McCann baseball), and the Mets should soon be one of baseball’s more potent line ups again.
Oh, and the Pillar/Villar back up duo have been excellent of late. Easy to say that without them, no 7 game win streak. With any luck at all, Pillar would have had a HR in each of the last 2 games. He’s raking. And Villar is pure energy on the base paths.
And, of course, the Mets’ Secret Weapon:
Patrick Mazeika.
No other team has a Patrick Mazeika.
Casey Stengel probably wished he had a weapon like Mazeika back in 1962.
Let’s go, Mets.
35 years is long enough.

For me, there is very little to complain about so far this season.
Expand offense (should be easy), keep up the pitching quality (easy if Jake is OK, with the injured trio soon to return), and this team should be HIGHLY successful.
Forgot what an Alonzo home run looks like.
