SP Eric Niesen got another shot at turning around a miserable year so far. Niesen did well (6.0, 1-ER, 6-K, 1-BB, 7.20) and earned another start.
C Mike Nickeas got a rare start, while Josh Thole moved over to DH. Thole had two hits and there really wasn’t more you could say about this game.
It was nice to see P Connor Robertson pitch and produce a scoreless inning in the 9th.
