B-Mets Game Notes

LAST GAME:

In unseasonably cool temperatures and rain last
night, the Portland Sea Dogs knocked off the B-Mets in both
ends of a doubleheader, winning Game 1 3-1 and Game 2 6-
2. Ike Davis hit his third homer in his last four game when he
roped a two-out homer off Junichi Tazawa in the first inning of
Game 1. That was all the run scoring Tazawa allowed as he
went five innings allowing just two hits for his eighth win of the
year. The B-Mets started righty Brad Holt in the opener and he
pitched well, striking out 10 men in five innings, but surrendered
three runs to lose his third consecutive start. Dustin
Richardson tossed the final two innings scoreless for Portland
to notch his second save in as many chances. The second
game saw the B-Mets outhit the Sea Dogs 10-8, but fall 6-2 in
the run column. Jake Ruckle gave up six runs in 1.2 innings to
take the loss in his first start of the season with Binghamton.
Jonathan Malo went 2-4 with a double and an RBI to lead the
offense.
