From Press Release:
In his second career Triple-A game, (Lucas) Duda, the left fielder had a key two RBI triple to extend the Herd's lead in the fifth inning. Duda's triple provided two of the Bisons four runs during the fifth in a 7-3 win over Lehigh Valley at Coca-Cola Field tonight. Duda sent his second hit as a Bison to right as it bounced over the Iron Pigs right fielder John Mayberry Jr.'s head, allowing him to reach third and scoring first baseman Mike Jacobs and third baseman Mike Cervenak. Another newcomer to the Herd provided some offense for the Bisons to work with tonight. After recently being called up from Double-A Binghamton, right fielder Jonathan Malo also hit a triple to right that was good enough to drive home catcher Josh Thole. Thole, who went 2-4 on the night, has recently been a hitting machine for the Herd. After going 3-3 last night Thole had his ninth multi-hit game in his last 18 games tonight and has been hitting .431 since May 18. The Bisons received a solid outing from starting pitcher Dylan Owen as well. Owen threw five innings while giving up six hits and allowing three runs, two of which were earned while striking out three in his sixth start of the season. Owen even helped out his own cause at the plate. In the second inning, Owen hit a soft liner to centerfield that drove home Malo, giving him his first RBI of the season.
