TODAY’S GAME: This afternoon, the Bisons take on the Gwinnett Braves in the finale of a four-game series at Coca-Cola Field (1:05 p.m.). The Herd is looking for the series win following back-to-back victories over the Braves. The Bisons are now 28-19 at home this season

The Bisons have won in walk-off fashion on each of the last two nights. OF JESUS FELICIANO hit an RBI-single in the bottom of the 11th inning of a 10-9 win on Friday. OF JORGE PADILLA came through with a pinch-hit sacrifice fly in the ninth inning last night. Buffalo now has seven walk-off wins this season and 23 comeback victories.


This afternoon’s game is the Bisons’ final game against the IL South Division. Buffalo is 17-14 against Charlotte, Durham, Gwinnett and Norfolk this year. The Bisons hold the 4-3 edge on the Braves and can win the season series with another victory. Buffalo and Gwinnett split the 2009 series.


 RHP DILLON GEE struck out 11 batters in his last start, a 6.2-inning no-decision in Rochester. It was the most punchouts by a Bisons pitcher since RHP JASON BERE fanned 11 on May 17, 2003 against Indianapolis. Gee now has 102 strikeouts on the season, fourth most in the IL. The last Bisons pitcher to fan 100+ was RHP HYANG-NAM CHOI in 2006 (105). The Buffalo Modern Era record for single-season strikeouts in 137, set by RHP VICENTE PALACIOS during the 1990 season.


 INF MIKE JACOBS has reached base safely in each of his last 17 games. Since June 27, the slugger has averaged .309 (21-68) with six doubles, six home runs and 17RBI. During that same span, Jacobs has drawn 10 walks and struck out only eight times for a .397 on-base percentage. Last night, he drove in his 53rd run of the season, sixth most in the International League.


 INF MIKE CERVENAK has reached in 11 straight games, a stretch that began on July 2. During the stretch, the infielder has five multi-hit games and averaged .341 (15-44). For the first time in seven games, Cervenak failed to drive in a run last night. He still has nine RBI in his last 11 games.
