Mets Select Contract of Bisons LHP Pat Misch
LHP Raul Valdes, RHP Ryota Igarashi Optioned to Bisons
The New York Mets tonight announced that they have selected the contract of LHP PAT MISCH from the Buffalo Bisons. Misch is scheduled to start for the Mets on Saturday against the Philadelphia Phillies (7:10 p.m.).
The Mets also announced that they have optioned LHP RAUL VALDES and RHP RYOTA IGARASHI to the Bisons.
Misch was 11-4 with a 3.23ERA in 23 starts for the Bisons (150.2IP, 150H, 24BB, 99K). He leads the International League with 150.2 innings of work and is tied for the league lead with two complete games. The southpaw is also tied for 3rd in the IL with his 11 victories and fifth with a 3.23ERA.
Misch gave the Bisons 14 quality starts in 2010 and the Herd was 17-6 when the veteran was on the mound.
Both Valdes and Igarashi have spent time with the Bisons this year. Valdes is 1-0 with a 0.93ERA in four games and two starts with Buffalo this season (9.2IP, 8H, R, ER, BB, 14K). Igarashi has thrown 14 relief outings for the Bisons and is 2-1 with a 3.52ERA and two saves (15.1IP, 18H, 8R, 6ER, 5BB, 15K).
