Nick Williams —
6’-3”, OF, Ball HS (TX) Jaw-dropping power is something every GM likes to hear.
Williams has it and then some. He is a regular on the home run derby circuits
and the 6’-3” lefty generates incredible pull power and makes it look
effortless with his short swing. He also has excellent speed, which should make
him a threat on the base paths once he becomes a better base runner. His arm
has been clocked at 93 mph, and mixed with his speed, makes him a plus defender
as well. Williams has as much talent as anyone in the draft. He just needs some
refining as he is still considered raw as a prospect. http://www.throughthefencebaseball.com/top-50-draft-prospects-for-2012-25-thru-1/15694/
Lance McCullers Jr.,
Jesuit (Tampa, Fla.) - McCullers may end
up in the bullpen down the line, but most pro clubs seem optimistic enough that
he'd start early in his pro career. His fastball threatens triple digits and
his power breaking ball has been devastating to prep bats. http://espn.go.com/blog/high-school/baseball/post/_/id/1051/top-10-class-of-2012-right-handed-pitchers
C Mike Zunino School:
Florida Cl.: Junior, Ht.: 6-2, Wt.: 220
Hometown.: Cape Coral, Fla. High school:
Mariner Zunino established himself as an
elite catcher last season and is expected to have a great 2012 campaign. A top
prospect, Zunino is a good defensive catcher and an excellent hitter with
big-time power. Hit .371 with 19 home runs and 67 RBIs last season. http://www.perfectgame.org/Articles/View.aspx?article=6498
