Blackham has a killer arm, he shut down 7 of our best hitters with strike outs.. Wicked pitches and killer arm....So don't be fouled by size....or you'll be the foul!!

I've seen Blackham pitch against Old Dominion, he killed there best hitters with crazy fast moving pitches. That kid's arm is unbelievable, he's arm power and speed, seem unreal for his size!!

Watched Blackham come in for the Kingsport Mets, he managed to get them out of a touch situation. I've watched baseball for over 35 years, Love the game! It's full of surprises. Blackham is kid who comes to the mound small in size, yet throws like Goliath. He drops a few jaws in the crowd, leaving them speechless.
I'm Old School, remembering the passion, and dedication baseball player's had in the past. It was a game filled with players who had Heart and were dedicated to the game, not the..$$$$ not the size of the wallet. This kid takes me back to the good old days. You can see his passion,
dedication and Love for the game, with every pitch he throws.
It's Great seeing a kid who pays with Heart, like the Great players of the past. Baseball could use more players like this kid. Baseball could take a step back in time, replace ALL the over paid, Lazy, Ego headed money motivated players with kids with Heart, and Passion for Baseball!!

He had a great season at Kingsport.

Unfortunately, for these short season leagues, a "season" can end up being 19 innings, like Matt's total. 0.53 in his last 10 games, with 21 K's in 17 innings. He is listed at 150, so he clearly is a Davis vs. Goliath size-wise.

He was in quite a very crowded field of excellent performing relievers in the Mets' lower minors this year, and it will be interesting to see if he can distance himself from the pack in 2015.
