29-year old (???) minor league infielder, Gustavo Nunez, signed a minor league contract with the New York Mets and was assigned to Binghamton.
So far this season, he was hitting .133 in A-Ball (more ???).
To make room, another infielder (Dale Burdick) was sent to St. Lucie. Burdick was hitting .150, but is 9 years younger.
Burdick joins Vinny Siena, Nick Sergakis, and Leon Bird as St. Lucie second basemen.
(God only knows why Luis Carpio is still in Columbia)
