Baseball is a numbers game. # # # # # # # # # # # # # # #
Score more than the other team, you win.
Put up better stats, your future is typically rosier.
While understanding the different degrees of difficulty players face in higher vs. lower leagues, I decided to ignore that here and present pure, raw data on the Mets' 4 active minor league teams' players:
LAS VEGAS 51s (AAA); BINGHAMTON (AA); ST LUCIE (A+); and COLUMBIA (A)

STARTERS
Easier to list the top 9 starter's stats collectively, as I did below. There is a large starter drop off after these 8:

Brandon Nimmo is no longer comatose, with 6 hits, including a homer and double last night, in his last 2 games.
Al Baldonado experienced more AAA turbulence last night - take motion sickness pills, Big Al.
In general, many hitters' names came up over and over again. Those realistically seem to be the guys to watch.
just curious numbers wise, what is the record of the 4 teams combined?
seems to be a bad season, except for a couple players
Tom -
Happy Birthday to Mom.

Las Vegas: 19-26
B-Mets: 23-15
St. Lucie: 21-24
Columbia: 21-20
Thanks, Mack.
The B Mets have been so successful due to great bullpen work. Overall, it has been a MEH season for the 4 teams combined. Hopefully, Szapucki, Dimino, and Alonzo return soon to give these teams a boost.
...and Tim Tebow hitting better :)
Another HB to Mom Tom. I thought Szapucki had TJS? Guys is Nido a real possibility as a catching prospect and not just filler?
Thanks, Gary.
I would say Nido is a real possibility. I wondered if he wascacone year flash in the pan, but he is hitatingclike last year again. There was a nice article icsaw on Mazeika today....he is working hard with his catcher-turned-manager to beome a legit catcher.
Filler at catcher seems to be Xorge Carillo, who is hitting competently for Vegas, but has only nailed 2 of 27 stealers this year.
