First of all, there will be more today.
It's no big secret that some of the Mets pitching prospects have fell down a knotch so far this season. Guys like Jonathan Niese (8.05), Mike Antonini (6.89), and Dylan Owen (6.97) have showed lack of progress at a higher level.
We're coming up to the minor league all-star break, as well as the baseball draft, and this is the time of the year teams reward those that have done well, and demote those that need additional work.
Also, as in the case of the names above, it's time to see if certain pitchers that are dominating at one level can hold their own at the next.
That being said, here's my thoughts on where everyone is:
Buffalo:
Neise will probably remain here, though I wish they would extend him and reassign him to Binghamton after the all-star break. He's still a big time Mets prospect who needs now to be slowed down.... three other slots are set... Nelson Figueroa, Brandon Knight, and Fernando Nieve, none of which are prospects. The 5th slot is open, and with the B-Mets currently showing 7 starters, look for Tobi Stoner to get the nod, probably later today. Knowing Tobi, his bags are probably already packed after last night.
B-Mets:
The rotation is now headed up by Bradley Holt and Jenry Mejia. Mike Antonini, Ryan Coultas, and Nick Abel will most probably fill the 5-man and, sadly, we might have seen the end of Jose Sanchez, who never fully recovered from last year's injuries.
Lucy:
Set with Owen, Jeffrey Kaplan, Eric Niesen, Angel Calero, and Scott Shaw.
Gnats:
One short... currently Jeurys Familia, Robert Carson, El Ramirez, and Eric Beaulac... Kyle Allen may be changed back to a starter or my guess, Mark Cohoon comes out of extended.
