TODAY’S GAME: Tonight, the Bisons take on the Indianapolis Indians in the first game of a four-game series from Victory Field (7:00 p.m.). Tonight also starts an eight-game roadtrip for the Herd. Buffalo is coming off a 6-2 homestand that featured four comeback wins. The Bisons are 6-6 on the road this season, while the Indians are 3-5 at home.

vs. INDY: This is the Bisons lone trip to Victory Field this season. Ironically, the Herd has a better record against the Indians in Indianapolis (27-21) than when hosting Indy at Coca-Cola Field (24-23). Buffalo has split their four-game series at Victory Field each of the past two seasons.

PAT ON THE BACK: LHP PAT MISCH has won both of his last two starts. He allowed just three runs in seven innings on April 25 in Pawtucket and worked another five innings last Friday to beat Durham. In two road starts this year, the southpaw is 1-0 with a 2.08ERA

C.C. STREAKIN: OF CHRIS CARTER enters tonight’s game with an impressive six-game hit streak. Since April 28, the outfielder has averaged .500 (12-24) with two homers, seven RBI and five runs scored. Included in that stretch is his two-run walk-off home run in Sunday’s 6-4 win over Louisville in 10 innings. Carter .344 average on the season is 7th in the International League.

HIT MACHINE: OF JESUS FELICIANO has hit in 14 of his last 16 game. Since April 19, Feliciano has averaged .404 (23-57) with 15 runs scored. His .371 average is the 2nd highest in the International League. His 16 runs scored on the year lead all Bisons players.

HARD HITTIN’ HESS: INF MIKE HESSMAN is the International League’s top run producer. His 28RBI on the year are one ahead of Columbus’ OF SHELLEY DUNCAN. Hessman also ranks 2nd in the IL in home runs (8), total bases (58), extra-base hits (15) and slugging percentage (.611). Hessman hit .303 (10-33) during the club’s most recent homestand.

HOT OFFENSE: In their last 10 games, Bisons hitters have averaged .309 as a team with 10 home runs and 57 runs scored. The recent surge has pushed the Herd to 3rd in the International League in hitting (.278).

METS UPDATE: The Mets (15-13) lost to the Reds in Cincinnati last night, 5-4, in 10 innings. INF DAVID WRIGHT hit his seventh home run of the season for New York while former Bisons INF BRANDON PHILLIPS went deep for the Reds. New York is off today, having completed their six-game roadtrip with a 2-4 record. The Mets start a six-game homestand on Friday against the Giants.
