LAST GAME: New Hampshire left-hander Jo-Jo Reyes held the

B-Mets league-leading offense hitless until Jon Malo ripped a

one-out double in the eighth to thwart Reyes’ near no-no. The

Fisher Cats cruised to a 6-2 victory to even the series at a

game apiece. Reyes allowed just the hit over eight, shutout

innings. Binghamton’s only runs came in the ninth off reliever

B.J. LaMura. Mike Nickeas chased the first run home with an

RBI groundout and Raul Reyes lined an RBI single to center, to

close the deficit to four. Robert Carson made his Double-A

debut and allowed four runs over four innings with four strikeouts

in the start and took the loss. Adeiny Hechavarria led the

way for the Fisher Cats with a 2-4 performance including a

pair of RBI. Eric Thames contributed his 17th homer of the

season, a solo shot off Carson in the third. The B-Mets’ three

hits were their fewest since Trenton held Binghamton to just

two hits June 12 at Waterfront Park.

STARTING PITCHING MATCHUP: RHP Josh Stinson is due to

make his ninth start of the year for the B-Mets tonight. He

notched a win in his last go-around, July 8 at Altoona, when he

hurled 5.1 innings and allowed three runs on seven hits. For

the year, Stinson is 6-1 with a 3.31 ERA over 81.2 innings. His

ERA ranks eighth-best in the Eastern League. In 2009,

Stinson split the season between Savannah (Low-A) and St.

Lucie (High-A) and went 5-3 with eight saves and a 2.86 ERA

in 78.2 innings combined. The Mets took him in the 37th

round of the June 2006 draft.

RHP Kyle Drabek will make his 19th start of the year and

second straight against Binghamton. He beat the B-Mets with

six, shutout innings with five strikeouts July 9 at NYSEG Stadium.

Drabek is 9-8 with a 3.03 ERA over 113 innings with the

Fisher Cats this year. He ranks sixth in the league in ERA, third

in innings pitched and third in average against (.220). He was

traded to Toronto in the Roy Halladay deal. Drabek was

drafted by the Phillies in the first round of the June 2006 draft

out of The Woodlands HS (TX). He was considered the No.2

prospect in the Phillies organization at the time of the trade.
