TODAY’S GAME: Tonight, the Bisons take on the Gwinnett Braves in the third game of a four-game series at Coca-Cola Field (7:35 p.m.). The Herd defeated the Braves 10-9 in 11 innings last night on a walk-off RBI-single by OF JESUS FELICIANO. Following Sunday’s game, the Bisons will take on Rochester in a four-game home-and-home series.



vs. BRAVES: With last night’s win, the Bisons are 3-3 against the Braves this season. The teams split a four-game series at Gwinnett, June 21-24 with the Braves outscoring the Herd, 24-17. The two teams have split each of the three, four-game series they’ve played since Gwinnett’s inaugural season in 2009.



Yesterday, INF JUSTIN TURNER was called-up to New York. Turner batted .297 (52-175) with three home runs and 16RBI for the Herd. In his place, RHP RYOTA IGARASHI has joined Buffalo from St. Lucie (A). The new Bison hurler was 0-1 with a 7.91ERA for the Mets this season.

LHP OLIVER PEREZ will be making his second major league rehabilitation start with Bisons tonight. In his first outing, the southpaw did not get a decision. He tossed five innings against Rochester, allowing only three hits and one unearned run on July 11.

The Bisons homered again last night. The Herd now leads the IL with 102 blasts on the season, three more than any other team. Buffalo has 21 homers in 13 games this month and the team has left the yard at least once in each of its past six games. The Bisons already have 22 more home runs than they hit all of last year (80).is .417.
