Please read this: Judge rules Mets can't ban kosher food co. from selling snacks at CitiField during Jewish Sabbath
I am going to post here what I posted on my Facebook wall about this:
This is ridiculous. Hot dogs and baseball go hand in hand. Why my favorite team would try to ban hot dogs is beyond me. Forget religion! Baseball is its own religion! For the first time in my life I am so disillusioned with the ownership of the Mets that I could consider leaving as a fan. As it is I haven’t spent a cent at Citifield this years. It is bad enough they have a meddlesome owner, a clueless GM, they are broke from Madoff, they signed Castillo and Oliver Perez to abyss contracts- now they want to ban hot dogs from their own stadium during Sabbath? REALLY?!?! Give me a break! People can choose what they want to eat, where they are and when they want to eat based on their religion. There shouldn't not be hot dogs at a baseball game. That is asinine! Seriously- I don’t know how much more I can take of the Wilpons and the circus they create every summer! Enough is enough!
Here is another question while I am on a tirade. If I am a fan and I am feeling this way, how long until David Wright starts feeling the same way and starts counting the days till he is a free agent? Again, more unneeded circus as a byproduct of a rudderless ownership.
Thanks to Mack for letting a frustrated, long time fan, vent.
