LAST GAME: Binghamton lost both ends of a doubleheader
Friday night to Harrisburg, falling in the lidlifter 9-1 before
losing the nightcap 3-1. Tom Milone threw a complete-game
for the Senators in Game 1 and limited the B-Mets to a run on
seven hits with nine strikeouts for his 12th win. Conversely,
Brandon Moore was harassed for nine runs over 3.1 innings
in his Double-A debut to take the loss. The righty allowed four
homers, including two from Michael Burgess. Sean Ratliff
provided the only offense for Binghamton in the first game
with an RBI single in the sixth. Mark Cohoon started Game 2
and took a no-hitter into the fourth. He lasted five innings and
gave up just one run on a Burgess solo homer in the fifth.
Adrian Alaniz dueled Cohoon and hurled five-plus innings in
scoreless fashion with just two hits allowed for his first win.
Binghamton’s lone run in the second game came courtesy of
Brahiam Maldonado, who took closer Cole Kimball yard leading
off the seventh. It was his 13th homer with the B-Mets.
STARTING PITCHING MATCHUP: LHP Robert Carson makes his
final start of the season tonight for the B-Mets. He has been
roughed up for four runs or more in all but one of his nine
starts. Carson lost his last start at Portland August 30 where
he permitted seven runs on nine hits over five innings. He is 1-
6 with an 8.74 ERA over 45.1 innings with Binghamton. The
lefty made 17 appearances in the Florida State League and
went 7-5 with a 4.17 ERA over 86.1 innings. He made 25
starts for Savannah (Low-A) in 2009 and tallied an 8-10 mark
with a 3.21 ERA over 131.2 innings. Carson was selected in
the 14th round of the June 2007 draft out of Hattiesburg HS

deadlock with Bowie for the final playoff spot in the Western
Division. He drew a no-decision in his last outing, August 30 at
New Hampshire, where he allowed five runs on six hits over
five innings. Peacock is 2-1 with a 4.50 ERA in six starts (34
IP). He made 19 appearances (18 starts) with Potomac opening
the season and carried a 4-9 mark and a 4.44 ERA over
103.1 innings. The right-hander signed as a draft and follow in
