Hello everyone, my name is Pedro (seriously)
and obviously I’m a new contributor for macks mets so I thought I’d take the
time and write a little bit about myself so all you readers out there would at
least know a bit about the random met fan now posting on this site….
I’m 22 years old
I'm originally from Yonkers, New York
I currently live in Pennsylvania about 3 hours or so from Philly so I’ve had to live through all these met rough patches and deal with dirt bag Phillies fans…I HATE THE PHILLIES
I currently live in Pennsylvania about 3 hours or so from Philly so I’ve had to live through all these met rough patches and deal with dirt bag Phillies fans…I HATE THE PHILLIES
I’m currently pursuing a degree in criminal
justice and aspire to work for the federal bureau of prisons someday and am
also currently making a living as a hospital security guard (woo...)
I hate José Tabatha…a lot
I played baseball up until I moved to Pennsylvania
when I was 14, I was a pitcher and played a little bit of left field when I didn’t
pitch, I was by no means good at either but I know enough to know what I’m
talking about when it comes to baseball and I’m by no means a homer and I know
a bum when I see one (Andres Torres anyone?)
My
writing style probably will come off a bit harsh at times, so if I just so
happen to give your favorite met some harassment in a post or two I’ll
apologize in advance now. I’m also a bit of a massive troll at times, For
example, I’m that guy whose currently wearing a Jason bay jersey and is rooting
for Miguel Batista just because everyone else hates him and its really funny to
get those weird looks from fans at Citi as I’m sporting my bay jersey and am
the only guy cheering when he strikes out.
I’ve been a legitimate met fan
since about 1997, Basically since Mike Piazza came to the Mets, I was 7 years
old at the time and all I kept hearing about was how awesome this Piazza guy
was and when I finally ignored my Nintendo 64 to watch a game with my grandfather
Piazza was seriously awesome, thus Little Pedro becomes a Met fan and I’ve had
orange and blue flowing through my veins ever since. I’ve been through all the
amazing times when the mets were awesome (99, 00, 06) and endured the endless
kick in the gonads that 07 and beyond has been but I still I love the Mets and
always will.
In conclusion I’m incredibly grateful
to Mack for reading my random email and giving me an opportunity to write about
the sport I love and the team I love and hopefully I can provide great content
for all of you to read and am looking forward to the challenge of writing interesting
things to read in all my future posts and lastly
LETS GO METS!
