I know you and Stephen are the experts, but if I were the GM, I wouldn't make Kyle Freeland my pick at #10, assuming the first 9 went as stated here. If Aaron Nola is still available when my pick comes up, I grab him in a microsecond. If not, I go with Sean Newcomb or Michael Conforto. (That is assuming that Turner and Zimmer have gone at #s 8 & 9)
Your writeup of LHPs has Newcomb at 13 G, 72 IP, 3.75 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, 92 K/37 BB. I don't know where the writer (throughthefence.com?) could have gotten those stats. They do not look like any year of his college career. For this year, I have him at 14 G, 93.1 IP, 1.25 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, 106 K/38 BB. He looks like a possible front line starter to me. Freelend may be too, but I am wary of him. In both his freshman and sophmore years his ERA was above 4.3. He seems to have solved it this year, when his stats are relatively comparable to Newcomb's, maybe even a little better. I would guess Evansville ans Hartford play against comparable opposition. I guess much more weight is placed on current year performance rather than consistency longer term.
Bottom line is that I would not be unhappy with Freeland, but I would prefer one of Nola, Newcomb, Turner, Zimmer or Conforto.

Herb - I have no problems with your pick, as long as it's a power starting pitcher.
I just don't see one of the few perfect position players falling to 10.
