The Mets reached out to tiny Stonehill College (MA) to draft 6-6, 200 pound RHP James Duff
There's not much known about this young an other than what was on his school's web site:
From the college: The 6-foot, 6-inch, righthander went 8-2 for Stonehill this season and sported a 1.84 earned run average, good for seventh in the NE-10. He recorded 62 strikeouts and held opponents to a .221 batting average, while issuing just five walks in 83 innings pitched over 11 starts. Duff produced three complete game efforts (one shutout), and earned victories in his first six starts of the season, including two against eventual East Region Champion and NCAA Division II College World Series participant Saint Thomas Aquinas College. He improved to 5-0 with a complete game, eight strikeout performance at then No. 26 Franklin Pierce University on March 28th, and topped the Ravens again in his last start of 2014 in the first round of the NE-10 Championship as he surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits in a complete game win.
