$305k. Pick 115 value = $453,600. @tpgMets: Do you know (& can you share) what Eudor Garcia got in the 4th round? Thanks!
6-12 - Assigned to Kingsport
We'll have to get Reese Kaplan over to the school and find out something about this kid.
He's a third baseman with some pop and, according to Jon Mayo, might project to... wait for it... first base.
Baseball America had him ranked at #160.
.410/.469/.683 over 207 PA
19 doubles, 2 triples, 9 homers, 40 runs, 49 RBI
19 walks, 13 Ks
3 SB, 0 CS
18 errors
He's the rub... he's 5-11.

Love Eudor Garcia to #Mets. One of the best hitters in the draft. Where he plays defensively, we'll see. But that dude rakes #mlbdraft

First three picks are bats......makes me think we already got an arm via the PTBNL.
Brass must be very comfortable with the Flexen, Gsellman, Whalen class from last year.

Chris, at some point we have to assume the Mets know more about this than you or I do.
You and I both know you can't have enough great players and, if this guy can hit, the Mets will find a position for him... wait a minute... am I talking about Garcia or Wilmer Flores?
I like the idea of bats after bats being drafted......this organization has SO many 24+ yr old ''journeymen' scattered throughout all levels. Lets slowly start saying goodbye to all of them, and wish them well on another team.
mlb.com has him listed at 6'1", not 5'11"
I can hear it now - Wilmer to Eudor to Chance.
Just got to give Eudor some HGH so he can become 6'3" (hey, is that stuff legal??)
see Matt, he grew 2 " already!
