The Express defeated the 51s, 12-5, in the opener of the four-game series (and game four of the seven-game homestand) before a FIREWORKS NIGHT crowd of 5,462 at Cashman Field.
Round Rock, trailing 4-2, scored 10 runs over their final two at bats and five players recorded multiple-hit games.
Designated hitter Hunter Cole was 3-for-5, double, HR, 2 RBI, three runs scored and second baseman Christian Lopes was 2-for-3, two walks, two home runs, 4 RBI, including a three-run inside-the-park HR in the 8th inning.
Las Vegas right-hander Drew Gagnon pitched 5 innings in the no decision. He allowed 2 hits, 1 run, walked 3 and struck out 3.
