OPEN THREAD - Who Do We Root For

The season is over and the two teams that play this year in the World Series will not be the Mets.

Who do we root for?

Me?

I have always had tunnel vision and have not watched a World Series game since the last time the Mets played in the series.

I never root for anyone, root against a few teams in hopes they don't get there, and move on to the New York Giants and Clemson sports.

What do you do and who are you rooting for?

I personally don't care much - I just don't like the Yankees winning, since Yankee fans have post-doctoral degrees in Gloating

I am a Mets' fan first, but if they are not in the conversation, I like watching good/competitive baseball.

The Astros are hard not to like and they are absolutely stacked!

An Astros/Dodgers (sort of) rematch would be the most competitive series, IMO.

And who wouldn't like to see the Dodgers lose again? (second only to watching the Yankees lose....or maybe third, after watching
the Yankees AND the Braves lose).

Mike, the Astros are indeed impressive. A handfu of years ago, they averaged close to 110 looses per season for a 3 year span.

They built their club the right way, not applying cast-off band-aids year after year to create the illusion of doing something, nor re-signing folks merely because it was easier than exploring alternatives.
