Press Release: RHP Matt Allan to undergo Tommy John surgery

FLUSHING, N.Y., May 7, 2021 – The New York Mets have announced today that minor league RHP Matt Allan will undergo Tommy John surgery to repair a partial tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in the coming weeks. Allan, the Mets third-round pick in the 2019 First-Year Player Draft, underwent a physical examination and MRI that revealed the ligament tear earlier this week. Mets Medical Director Dr. David Altchek has confirmed the diagnosis.

Another Mets TJS.

Will this change how the Mets address the draft in July?

I write about that tomorrow at 11am.
