In Focus - Luis Moreno

Pitch Profiler                       @pitchprofiler

I feel like a broken record because I keep saying this, but where in the world are the Mets finding all these stuff demons??

Mack – Moreno has been a fringe rotation pitcher in the Mets chain that could be being squeezed out of the Syracuse rotation this spring, due to a lot of good stuff going on with other pitchers.

So…

So far this spring, he has relieved in three spring games, tossing 5.1 innings, striking out nine, and putting up a 1.13 WHIP.

Is this a sign of pen things to come?

Well, as of right now, other starters vying for a Syracuse slot, include Dom Hamel, Brandon Sproat, Blade Tidwell, Justin Jarvas, Jonathan Pintaro, Joander Suarez, and Troy Miller.

Somethin got ta give….

Nunez has been optioned to give him additional time to build up for the season. Opens that slot up for another reliever on the 26 man roster. I look forward to seeing him back soon.

Either Kranick or Brazobán

Kranick deserves the shot. I feel like he could be 2022 Trevor Williams or Prime bullpen version of Seth Lugo for us for multiple years (stuff and process might be different but that's the results / role I think he can play - or at least what my orange and blue tinted glasses see).

The good news is both have options
