For Discussion - Trey McLoughlin

The most unique arm in Mets camp? Trey McLoughlin.

With a high arm angle, extreme trunk tilt, and big extension, he’s a rare look out of the pen.

His fastball sits around 18 IVB, and has unique slider gets whiffs

A strikeout machine in high school

Low-to-mid 90s, T-93 fastball – some run

Solid average curve – more vertical drop than sweep

Change but rarely used

Bulldog type on the mound

Knocking on the door

Mack – I would have thought that, if Trey was going to go to Queens in April, we would be seeing him a lot more in spring games this month.

Looks like another opening in Syracuse. Bring mittens.

McLoughlin needs to push thru the ceiling. Not easy for pitchers. But REALLY not easy for hitters.
