Draft 14 – Derek Fisher, Tim Susnara, Gregory Deichmann, Roberto Gonzalez, Michael Conforto

2-2-14 - Derek Fisher - Fisher is a 6'3", 205 LB outfielder with a pedigree unlike many in this draft. He was a well-known prep prospect but a less than elite performance as a senior and a big price tag allowed him to slide in the draft. The Rangers chose not to sign him after he had a seven-figure price tag. Fisher is a bit of a tweener. Not the immediate profile of an impact prospect. He's not an impact guy but he could be an excellent MLB player. His floor is much higher than almost anyone else in the draft but defensively he may be limited to LF. He has the speed to handle center field at this point but lacks the instincts and the route running to make that work. His arm is usable but not the level of a good right fielder. Aggressive runners would test him and win in the majors often enough to be frustrating. 1-27-14 – BP - Positional Preview: High School Catchers - Tim Susnara | C/OF/1B | St. Francis (Mountain View, CA) | Commit: Oregon  Height/Weight: 6-foot-1/195 pounds  B/T: L/R  Draft Day Age: 18y 2m  Susnara shows a good feel for the game and a high level of comfort behind the plate, in the box, and on the basepaths. He is capable of producing some pop, but works best driving the ball up the middle and to the oppo gap. His upper and lower halves can get out of sync, but the fluidity in his swing improved over the course of the scouting season, and the Oregon commit appears to be poised for a breakout spring if he can continue to grow his approach and log reps. Defensively, he has solid actions behind the dish. He’ll routinely pop in the 2.02 to 2.05 range in-game, and I’ve clocked him as low as 1.82 during workouts, with enough arm strength and accuracy to overcome some length in his arm swing and transfer. He has excellent bat speed and can put on displays in the cage during batting practice. Even if he ends up at third, the power and arm will play well. 10-14-13 – Top ’14 College Hitters - 3. Max Pentecost / C / Kennesaw State — Pentecost may not be a household name right now, but has drastically improved his draft stock with a very strong summer. Pentecost has average power from the right side (with potential for more) and shows good patience and pitch recognition. 8-27-13 - Dylan Cease, a right-hander from Milton High in Georgia, has impressed scouts all summer with his mid-90s fastball and his feel for the changeup and curveball. 9-29-13 – XMLBScout – 11.)SS, Trea Turner, N C State, 6' 180, R/R, swift runner with a quick bat and occ power to the alleys, has enough glove and arm to be a starter at the ML level and contribute offensively with his 70 speed. 8-6-13 - Top pitchers - East Coast Professional Showcase, Syracuse, NY -  3. Touki Toussaint, RHP, Coral Springs Christian Academy (Fla.): One of the more projectable pitchers at East Coast, Toussaint was up to 94 mph and showed a curve and a slider. 7-24-13  -  Gregory Deichmann, ss, Brothers Martin, Metairie, La./Marucci Elite - Deichmann has a lean and athletic 6-foot-2, 180-pound build. The lefthanded hitting LSU commit has impressive bat speed and is one of the top power bats in the class. He has raw power to all fields and can put on a show in batting practice, especially to his pull side. With two home runs during TOS, Deichmann matched the total all of 144 players from last year’s event. Deichmann is a fluid, rangy athlete with good lateral actions and defensive prowess. Fastball was 90-92 (93) mph works the ball well and shows some hand side run at times, offering hides okay and tough to pick up at times. Spencer Adams, RHP, White County HS (GA) - 6'5/185, Draft Day Age: 18.15, Georgia commit, Full Report - Quick Take: Adams is one of my favorite projection bets in this year's class, with a near ideal frame, athleticism, delivery and arm action to go with advanced feel for his off-speed stuff. Adams will sit 89-92 mph in short stints with and above average slider and changeup.
