Yes, you read that right!! In 2010, the Mets drafted Matt Harvey with their top pick, although most "pundits" had them going for 3B/1B Zach Cox, whose bat was lauded as major-league-ready at the time. Harvey made his second start for the Mets last night, a far better start then the stat-line displays, while Cox, batting .254 with nine homers and 30 RBIs at Triple-A Memphis (Cards), was traded to the Marlins at the deadline for reliever Edward Mujica, a home-run prone 28 year old who has been featured on Showtime's "The Franchise" series. So, for anyone who was upset about that pick at the time (and there were a LOT of you, in spite of what you're saying now), perhaps you can mail your apologies to Omar, care of the San Diego Padres...for THIS pick, at least...

Wasn't this my Grandal year? (on IR)
Frankly, Omar is owed around six international kids that are going to make the difference over the next couple of years...
what's never written about is the 35 Omar scouts he fired when he arrived and another 35 stateside scouts he fired in this past off-season
