The Mets are strongly considering a plan that would have Jenrry Mejia begin the season in the major league bullpen, remain with the team through the year, and eventually become a starter, according to two team insiders.

Can't we get a fucking straight story here. Earlier today it was Montero going to the pen. Now it is Mejia. Did some beat reporter with wax in his ears hear Montero when they said Mejia? Are both of them possibilities for the pen? Actully, Mejia makes more sense, due to his possible fragility, but who am I to say? Is the "eventually become a starter" line merely a smokescreen to defuse fans displeasure? Who knows? But at least now I feel slightly better knowing that the Montero story may be just that. A storry and nothing else.
