snowfall has to be removed from the field, with Colorado owner Dick Monfort pitching in by manning a shovel, and the
day concludes when Jordan Pacheco singles home the winning run in the
10th inning of the second game, for a 9 - 8 win. The Rockies also win the
opener, 8 - 4, as the games are played in frigid conditions and occasional snow
flurries. Reporters quip that there are more snowmen than fans at Coors Field.

As much as I thought Mickey Callaway was probably the most unqualified manager ever to manage this team, and he was let's face it, I like him even less now as a human being after hearing all the sad reports about him when he was physically here a NY Met. What is his childlike mental problem anyway? But gratefully he has returned back to the only MLB job that he can actually handle, pitching coach. Good riddance with farm boy.
I really like the composition of this 2021 NY Mets team now, probably more than ever. It looks like the LA Dodgers will be the team to beat in the NL again. I think this Mets team is right there with them though, and will fare well head to head. Each team is five (Mets seven actually) good arms deep in their rotation, both have a deep bullpen as well, and with a ton of offensive weapons and bench strength.
This should be the "funnest" season for us all!
