HOMECOMING FOR SMITH: Tonight’s Bowie starter is LHP Kevin Smith. Smith pitched with the Rumble Ponies for part of 2019 going 3-2 with a 2.45ERA in 6 starts. Smith was the 7th round pick by the Mets in 2018 before being traded to the Orioles in July of 2020 for RHP Miguel Castro. Smith was a recipient of the Mets Sterling Award in 2019 for Pitcher of the Year given to the top performers in the Mets minor-league system.
