Lindor saved him. Three balls were tarred on the screws as May’s pitches are string straight.

Think May may have hit a wall...he sure has been used a lot.
Lugo being back, and a day off to boot, ought to help May, who has been shaky lately, but lights out compared to the gosh-awful back end relief pitching we had last year.
