Mike Puma NY Post: Awful Mets shut out again, fall to Cubs in 11 innings. “The Mets stretched the agony to 11 innings on Wednesday before losing their second straight, 2-0 to the Cubs at Citi Field… Carlos Torres (2-4) allowed two runs on three hits and a walk in the 11th as the Mets bullpen finally reached a breaking point after pitching three shutout innings behind Bartolo Colon…Many of the Mets’ shortcomings were on display in the eighth, when a failed squeeze play helped keep the game scoreless. Ceciliani missed the bunt attempt, and Ruben Tejada was caught off third base on the play.“

Mets don't lose any ground to the Nationals who also lost, 4-1 to the Braves.
