Rollins spoke with MLB.com's Todd Zolecki regarding the team's struggles last
season and noted that 2013 was just one year, and he is looking forward to a
new chapter. Rollins spoke about trade rumors that surrounded his name last
summer, noting that he had no plans to waive his 10-and-5 rights if asked.
Rollins, who is just 60 hits shy of becoming the franchise leader, said he
doesn't plan on ever playing for another club: "I don't plan on putting on

Mack, any thoughts as to whether the Mets might go after him, if the Phillies would trade him "in the division," and what Phils would want? I'd be surprised if Sandy would not expect Phils to eat part of that $11MM. And if Rollins would even accept a deal to Mets, given his stated desire to not play for someone else?

I've learned over the years that there is no suck thing as a locked contract.
I don't know where Alderson stands on this one, but, let me ask you a question... would you want Drew for one year at $14.1 or Rollins at $11mil?
Rollins coming to the Mets would be akin to Johnny Damon coming to the Yankees. People forgive and forget if you produce.
Rollins is in the dog house for a reason, and it's not because he is in decline, though he surely is. I don't think I want him on my team, certainly not at 11 million. Yeah, I'd take Drew @ $14 over Jimmy @ $11.
Yep Mack...Drew at $14MM over Rollins at $11MM...if Phils ate half of it, though, as an owner, that is much harder decision...again, quite unlikely to occur as a trade in their own division unless Phils see real decline in him and would love nothing better than to dump the next Robby Alomar on the Mets
