-Just to keep everybody in the loop regarding the quality pitching that will be coming out of this system, here is your projected 2014 rotation and who ‘graduates’ either from TJS surgery or through the normal elevation process from affiliates:

It’s impossible to project which one of these players will be ‘da bomb’, but my educated guess on who will excel as a New York Met, and beginning when, are:

       2014 – SP Zack Wheeler, 3B David Wright, C Travis d’Arnaud, RP Jenrry Mejia, RP Bobby Parnell, RP Jeurys Familia and LF Curtis Granderson are long term keepers.

       2015 – SP Matt Harvey, SP Noah Syndergaard, SP Rafael Montero, RF Cesar Puello

       2016 – CF Brandon Nimmo

       2017 – LHSP Steven Matz, SS Amed Rosario

       2018 – 1B Dominic Smith, 2B Dilson Herrera

(note… many of these players could be placed on a faster track than this, but, when it comes to the Mets, I’ll believe it when I see it)

This only represents 16 players, but it does project a complete starting 2018 lineup on the field (OF – Grandy, Puello, Nimmo… IF: Smith, Herrera, Rosario, Wright) plus four starters and three relief pitchers.
