I am puzzled why Nimmo walks so much. Teams must pitch around him, but he lacks extra base punch. But .471 OBP is awesome. Look up Brown's minor league #'s for the past 2+ years combined. They read like Lou Gehrig's...50 doubles, 10 triples, 40 HR, 160 RBIs, .325 in the equivalent of playing a full 162 game schedule. I doubt Chris Young or Duda could come close to that. What does that tell you about what this guy might do as an everyday OF or 1B in bigs?
Someone called him a poor man's Scott Hairston. I just wonder if he could be better, or a lot better, if given the chance to play every day like the Grandy Man.
Great to see Dekker hot...now all he needs is a few Met injuries.
Chris Young is a very big roadblock to these 2 guys...at $7 million, mind you.
