Good
morning.
I saw
that the amount of deaths in the United States rose again yesterday. I guess
this figure will go up and down due to the huge increase of testing and diagnosis
being done throughout the country.
Too
early for Covid humor? Try this one on…
A suspected Covid-19 male patient is lying in bed in the
hospital, wearing an oxygen mask over his mouth and nose. A young student
female nurse appears and gives him a partial sponge bath.
"Nurse,"' he mumbles from behind the mask,
"are my testicles black?"
Embarrassed, the young nurse replies, "I don't know,
Sir. I'm only here to wash your upper body and feet."
He struggles to ask again, "Nurse, please check for me.
Are my testicles black?"
Concerned that he might elevate his blood pressure and heart
rate from worrying about his testicles, she overcomes her embarrassment and pulls
back the covers. She raises his gown, holds his manhood in one hand and his
testicles gently in the other.
She looks very closely and says, "There's nothing wrong
with them, Sir. They look fine."
The man slowly pulls off his oxygen mask, smiles at her, and
says very slowly,
"Thank you very much. That was wonderful. Now listen
very, very, closely:
"Are - my - test - results - back?"

I live in Queens, NY. Also known as Ground Zero for COVID-19.
There are way too many people walking around, sans masks, as if it is another
typical Spring day. People are stupid. Stay away from people. Save a life.

One Mets player who asked not to be identified has concerns
about the idea of 30 teams playing an entire summer in Arizona: "It's the desert,"
he said. "Stuff doesn't live there, it dies there."
My favorite Texas-based
singer-songwriter, John Prine, died yesterday
from the coronavirus.

An undercover operation.
Arizona in the summer is HOT!
NYC is just...too...crowded.
Tom
The Arizona scenario does nothing for minor league baseball.
We are at least 30 dats away from determinating where this virus is going.
I'm already banking on a May stay-at-home order. And June.
Reese
Yeah... we just can not rush this return.
Matthew Allan is going to be the opening day starter in AA? I know he's very highly rated, and a steal in the 3rd round last year, but he only pitched a few innings in low A last year. can't be?? thought he was projected to start in Columbia?
Jon
I think this was just virtual hype by a fan and member of their inner circle.
St. Lucie maybe.
Probably Columbia.
Definitely not B-Mets
IMO.
If you can't have fans in the stands, don't play.
Not likely you can have fans in the stands in 2020.
Mack
Thanks! Thought it was a tweet from the Rumble Ponies. Now we just have to hope there's a season and he gets to pitch somewhere!!
Jon,
In one of their other tweets they list Michael Paez as one of the infielders. He retired last October.
Homie, I remember those Mets games in the early 1980s...2000 at a game. Easy to social distance when the stands are 4% full. Almost as many people attended a Hasidic funeral in Mayor de Blasio’s New York this week.
Man the Mets were bad in the early 80s, but I watched many a game from those Loge sections 1,3,5 or 2,4,6 right behind home plate, just under the broadcast booth. For like $5 bucks. Everyone had their own section to themselves.
Nowadays I'd have to cash out my 401K to sit in seats so close.
