First, he is a strong defender, with a powerful arm, and caught the pitchers on the CWS champion Mississippi State baseball team.
Second, he led the team i home runs in 2021.
This combination alone makes him my current #2 catcher.

Catcher Logan Tanner, who slugged a team-leading 15 homers in 2021, will be back for his third year in Starkville. Tanner has a chance of being a high first-round draft pick next summer, ESPN Baseball Insider Kiley McDaniel told The Dispatch.
