BackgroundHe played high school ball at San Dimas HS (California), then college at USC. As a sophomore in 2022 he hit .286/.380/.471 with 8 HR. Injuries limited him earlier in college. His grandfather, Milton “Milt” Smith, was a former professional player.

Minor-league path and recent performanceHe has progressed through the Mets system (FCL, St. Lucie, Brooklyn Cyclones, Binghamton Rumble Ponies, Syracuse). 

He contributed to Binghamton’s 2025 Eastern League championship.2025 (mainly AA Binghamton, some A+ Brooklyn): Combined .282 AVG, 8 HR, 47 RBI, 31 SB in 101 games.
